Uncommon Insight

  • “Are you okay”?

What sort of a question is that? You may as well be speaking another language. You may as well be a bird chirping. Or the wind blowing. Actually no, if that were the case, it would be a much better question.

  • Perfect Timing

The advice ‘don’t wait until everything is just right to start on your dreams’ applies to much more simple, practical tasks as well. Don’t wait to do the small things, spend less time and energy thinking about what you need to do and just get it done already.

  • Possibilities

Anytime we are living below our potential as humans I think it has less to do with ‘not believing we deserve any better’ and more to do with genuinely believing that ‘that’s just the way life is’. Not knowing, or even thinking that there is the possibility for another way.

  • Let it happen

How much simpler would life be if we just allowed the things we were good at to happen?  Instead of blocking them – get out of your own way.

  • Nurture

Motivation, exercise, relationships – everything – must be nurtured regularly, or it will fade away. You die if you stop eating. You die if you stop breathing. Everything is a continuous process, you have to keep going.

  • Blame Stuck

When we don’t take accountability we can blame the wrong things and this leaves us powerless to change and grow. Blame keeps us stuck because we’re spending all of our energy focusing on the past. Focusing on things we can’t change. The only thing we can change is what we do right now.
