People don’t need to gain confidence, they actually need to lose it.
The reason any one might lack confidence is because they believe in the concept at all.
In order to have confidence you would have to believe in the Self.
Subconsciously the individual knows that the Self does not actually exist and therefore confidence in that Self comes and goes.
The deepest reason you don’t have confidence in yourself is the same reason you don’t have confidence in Santa.
