What makes a leader different from their followers?

Why are only some people concerned with maximizing the potential in their work life? How and why are entrepreneurs different? They’re not better, they’re just different. The worker bees that follow the queen are just as important, they are part of what makes the whole.

It seems that not everyone could be an entrepreneur, in the same way that not everyone can be a captain, not everyone can be a chief. Followers are necessary in order for the leader to exist. So we must respect the followers. We must respect the part that each person plays in the whole.

But what is the fundamental difference between a follower and a leader? Do leaders believe in themselves more? Do they see things that others don’t see? Followers may also see things that leaders don’t see. They may see more of the vital details of the little picture that the leader doesn’t see because he or she is too focused on the big picture.

Both halves are necessary to make the whole circle.

Why would someone be more interested in the bigger picture than the smaller picture? What part of their makeup causes that inclination?
